I believe that sharing stories, thoughts, opinions, and points of view not only helps us connect, but help us understand one another as well. Stories especially are powerful, they help us feel less alone when we read that just one other person out there thinks, believes, or is experiencing life in ways we can connect with.

Afterall, it’s not our perceived perfections or successes that bring us closer together, it’s our individual weirdness, imperfections, and traumas that bind us. We’re all more alike than we sometimes think – we just don’t know it yet. From a quiet girl just hoping to be understood and connect a little more.
